Kole Morris
Concept Artist and Illustrator
AboutI am a recent graduate of Leeds Arts University’s Comic and Concept Art course, focusing primarily on the concept art track. I have extensive experience working in teams for video game and animation production. I am proud to have won multiple awards for my work during my time at university, motivating me to continue achieving high within my field of work. I am passionate about visual storytelling and communicating function through design which is why I focus on video game design the most.
Portfolio
My concept art focused on being tailored for the animation and video game industries. I enjoy combining movement/gameplay functions with visual designs as a way to communicate mechanics to players and audiences.
My work focuses on versatility, I like to focus on creating new and unique designs. I prefer finding new projects that are different to what I've done previously.

Visual Development
My iteration process begins with in depth research for relevant topics and existing designs for inspiration. I then sketch many ideas, ensuring I explore as many possibilities and directions a design could take. After I'm happy with the sketch I will test out different colour palettes. I will sometimes take a design for a walk by drawing them in multiple poses, this ensures a design works. When all is complete I can draw a character sheet for them.

Illustration Work
My illustration process used Procreate, and now ClipStudio. I have the most experience in this creative practice as I've been developing my methods since 16 years old as I maintained my PrinceofError socials online. I focus primarily on fantasy, especially regarding fan art of The Legend of Zelda series. I have gained good traction to my art with this fandom, gaining me the position as a Sage for the Linktober team.
